Many people ask what a typical day is like at Weston Kennels. We like to wake our guests up early in the morning to greet the day and so they can " do their business" outside around 6 am. We don't have our morning coffee until the dogs needs are taken care of. Each dog has their own individual Indoor and outdoor run for their personal space. We let them outside while we clean their indoor area and change their drinking water. We also rotate dogs individually into our play yard so they can get a little exercise and have some fun barking at our flock of sheep or chickens . During our morning business hours we have our human friends coming to the kennel. This is an exciting time for our guest as they bark at the cars pulling down the driveway to see who might be coming to visit. By noon our new guests have arrived and it is time for the dogs to take a little nap... not a bad life.

When the weather permits we spend the afternoons playing with dogs in the play yard or going on nature walks on the property. This is also the time we clean our outdoor runs using the pressure washer and a good disinfectant. If the weather is warm we turn up the air conditioning and spend the heat of the day indoors. During the winter months we have radiant heat in the kennel floor which is a wonderful way to stay warm. The safety and wellbeing of our guest always comes first. Our stainless steel water buckets are always keep clean and full .... always. We like to say" We keep your dog safe, clean and happy and give them back to you in the same condition that you gave them to us.

Dinner is served ! Our guests are welcome to bring their own food or we are happy to feed ours ... your choice. There is no additional charge to feed special diets either. After dinner everyone spends some time in their outdoor runs to enjoy our peaceful country setting... This is when our day starts to wind down. During the summer months the dogs like to hang out in the fresh air as the heat of the day turns into a beautiful sunset. As dusk arrives, everyone is brought indoors to wind down and listen to the classical music that is always playing.

"Owners live on the Premises" - We think this is an extremely important statement for many reasons. We don't go home at the end of the day ... we are home. This means we are able to check on our guests late in the evening or whenever we feel it is necessary. There are many nights that we will walk down to the kennel just to check on our guests and give everyone a late night snack and tuck them in. We like to treat our guests just like they were one of our own dogs. We want you to have peace of mind whenever your dog is with us .
